Having A Treat

Posted by Sunburst Street (Sydney, Australia) on 21 February 2017 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Photography sometimes has to take a back seat to everything else in life, so occasionally you have to make up an reason/excuse to set an alarm at an ungodly hour and go shooting anyway. I told myself that I would 'treat' myself today.

It didn't feel that way at first, waking up with five hours of sleep, but when my feet were ankle-deep in water watching a beautiful sunrise, it sure felt like a treat.

Some years ago, I started threesixfive, a daily project that was designed to catalogue my growth as a photographer. However, real life intervened, and after a while, as much as I enjoyed posting, it became something of a burden to post something daily. I've never truly stopped my love of photography, but I'm reminded again of how important it is to continually pursue the perfection of this craft, and share its fruits with others.

And so I return to an old haunt, hopefully a more accomplished photographer, with the best yet still to come. My main interest in is landscapes, but mostly, my photography is about finding the silence in the noise. I hope you enjoy my images and thank you for stopping by.

Beautiful seascape. Good composition and wonderful flow. You got some great locations for seascapes around Sydney :-)
